The purpose of this policy is to explain how Tringmotion Limited collects, protects, and uses personal data. We are committed to ensuring that any personal data supplied by its Clients or is otherwise generated by its business activities is collected and processed fairly and lawfully.

2. What Types Of Personal Data Does Tringmotion Collect?

Tringmotion needs certain personal data to enable it to provide its products and services to its Clients and end users. The personal data collected will generally include: company name, company size and sector, individual contact names (first and last name) and job titles for delivery, installation, support and billing, postal address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses.  In certain circumstances Tringmotion may also collect financial information about our clients and end users from third parties to enable us to assess its risks in granting credit terms and contact information about organisations Tringmotion considers may be interested in our products and services.

3. How Does Tringmotion Obtain Personal Data

Tringmotion obtains personal data in a number of ways including from orders placed by Clients and end users (whether by telephone, fax or email or by application form); from enquiries made by existing Clients and potential Clients, (including information gathered at marketing events and via the Tringmotion website).

4. How Does Tringmotion Use The Personal Data It Holds?

4.1 Providing and Improving the Tringmotion Service

Most of Tringmotion use of personal data is necessary to enable it to provide a service to its Clients and its end users, including order processing, delivery and support services as well as for invoicing and in order to answer general Client enquiries. In addition, Tringmotion may also use personal data to improve on the level and type of service we offer to our Clients.

4.2 Direct Marketing

Tringmotion may from time to time inform its Clients, end users and potential Clients about Tringmotion products and services and other information Tringmotion feels may be of interest. This will be of direct relevance, so a service reminder on a purchased bike or a special order item that enters primary stocking. It will not be used for general sales emailing.

Clients and other recipients of information from Tringmotion may indicate at the time they first place an order with Tringmotion whether or not they wish to receive such information or at any later time by simply contacting Tringmotion, as indicated in paragraph 9 below.

5. Does Tringmotion Transfer Personal Data Overseas?

All personal data will be stored within the EU and be subject to security procedures and firewalls designed to prevent unauthorised use of or access to personal data.

6. To Whom Does Tringmotion Disclose Personal Data?

Tringmotion will pass personal data within its internal departments in order to fulfil sales and support obligations as well as to finance departments to enable invoicing.

As a general rule, Tringmotion does not disclose personal data to unaffiliated third parties except where Client consent has been obtained, where Tringmotion is under an obligation by law to disclose personal data or where Tringmotion has contracted with third parties to assist in providing services to Tringmotion Clients such as for delivery, installation and support services.

7. How Does Tringmotion Protect the Personal Data it Holds?

Tringmotion takes Client confidentiality and security very seriously. Tringmotion has implemented appropriate internal security procedures that restrict access to and disclosure of personal data within Tringmotion. These procedures will be reviewed from time to time to determine whether they are being complied with and are effective.

Specifically, at Tringmotion we do not store credit card details.

8. Clients' Rights

The law within the European Economic Area gives individuals whose personal data is held by Tringmotion specific rights to access and rectify personal data held about them.

These include the right to:

  • obtain from Tringmotion, for a prescribed fee, confirmation that personal data is held, as well as a written description of such personal data, the purpose(s) for which it is being used, the source(s) of the personal data and details of any recipients;
  • request the deletion or rectification of personal data which is inaccurate; and inaccurate; and
  • as explained in paragraph 4.2 above to object to any unsolicited information sent by Tringmotion regarding promotions or new products and services.

9. Cookies

We use Google analytic services for the purpose of understanding how people access this site and to aid the targeting of marketing services. The data collection is anonymous and is used for no other purpose. Keeping our costs down helps us maintain our competitive pricing. If you do not want to participate in Google's anonymous data analysis you can opt out by downloading a browser extension here.

This website also uses etracker technology ( by which anonymous data is collected and saved for marketing and optimisation purposes. All visitor data is saved using an anonymous user ID to aggregate a usage profile. Cookies may be used to collect and save this data, but the data is not personally identifiable. The data will not be used to identify a visitor personally and is not aggregated with any personal data. The collection and storage of data may be refused at any time, with effect for the future.
